Aug. 2nd, 2017 02:08 pmtactics - occult detective/mystery/action/drama/comedy/slice of life set in taishou (later retconned to be late meiji and then taishou again THEN BACK TO MEIJI) japan about a "youkai-buster" unsealing and then forming a contract with the alleged "most powerful of all demons" tengu... except as it turns out, he shouldn't have been able to do either of those things. And the tengu has some serious memory loss and power-nerfing going on. HMMM.
Together, they fight crime! --and slowly begin to form a cute family unit together with a cutie kitsune who was already living the youkai buster. That's where most of the sol comes in - the two mangaka BOTH have health conditions, so it's not uncommon to have a chapter telling the main story, then a chapter about a goofy sidequest that had to have occurred earlier, maybe another sidestory chapter, then several chapters where it's the main plot again.
here is where you can read the manga - unfortunately, it's not available in completion on any of the mangafox type sites, this is the most complete list (somewhat - you can get the rest of vol 7 if you go the main page and skim the updates, they forgot to add it to the list). The scanslation job for volume 1 is fairly dated, but all the others are fine.
